Hotpoint ovens, hobs, cookers are well-loved trusted kitchen appliances and have built an excellent reputation across London and the Home Counties.

According to Hotpoint, two out of three homes in the UK have at least one Hotpoint domestic appliance. Hotpoint appliances are reliable and long-lasting. However, now and again your Hotpoint oven, hob or cooker will show error or failure codes, signifying a malfunction.

Read on to find the meaning behind the most common Hotpoint oven, hob, and cooker error and fault codes.

F0 / F1

Stuck Touch pad. The touchpad or control panel, also called clock or ERC, is defective. This usually requires a replacement from a professional engineer if it cannot be cancelled out by itself.

F2
(During BAKE)

Control senses oven temperature above 615F-630F. If the actual over-temperature of the oven happens, there is most likely a fault in the circuit board relays between the control panel and temperature controls. If there is no actual change in the temperature, there is most certainly a fault in the sensor connections in the control panel of the appliance. Both instances will need to be replaced and repaired by a professional engineer.

F2
(During CLEAN)

Control senses oven temperature above 915F. As before, there is most likely a fault between the control panel and sensors. This will need to be replaced and repaired by a professional engineer.

F3 / F4

Open or shorted temperature sensor. The sensor harness and the connection between the oven sensor and oven control need to be checked for loose-fitting. If the wiring is OK, the temperature sensor needs to be replaced. These steps need to be undertaken by a professional engineer.

F7

Stuck Touch pad. The touch pad or control panel, also called clock or ERC, is defective. This usually requires a replacement from a professional engineer if it cannot be cancelled out by itself.

F9

Lock switch. Check the door lock switch as the wire harness may be connected wrong.
